Welcome to the longer summer seasonal edition of our Pulse of Balance newsletter. As we embrace the warmth and vibrancy of summer, we are reminded of the principles of Classical Chinese medicine that guide us through this season of action and abundance. Summer is associated with the fire element, symbolizing expansion, growth, and the flourishing of life.

It’s a time to nurture our hearts, cultivate joy, and deepen our connection with others. As the days grow longer and the sun’s energy invigorates us, let’s harness this vitality to enhance our well-being, balance our inner fire, and celebrate the fullness of life. Join us in exploring practices and wisdom that align with the rhythm of summer, fostering harmony and health in body, mind, and spirit.

Contrasting and comparing Zangfu vs Channel Theory continued: Bladder and Kidney

Contrasting and comparing Zangfu vs Channel Theory continued:
HE + SI

The second Earth month of 2024 is almost here, bringing along our next TAB Learning Lab!

Join Suzanne and Adam on July 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM Pacific Time as we continue our Channel vs. Zangfu Learning Lab series.

New to BSA and struggling to shift your brain from zangfu to channel-based acupuncture mode? Experienced BSA practitioner but need to refine your channel knowledge? Do you want further clarification on BSA channel theory vs zangfu function? If so, this is the learning lab for you!

For the second in the Shaoyin-Taiyang channel/organ pairing series, we will continue in Chinese clock order with Foot Shaoyin Kidney and Foot Taiyang Bladder.

In this learning lab we will:

  • Analyze each channel’s pathway, characteristics and function

  • Compare and contrast the channel vs. zangfu functions of KI and BL

  • Review where and why we find KI and BL in BSA treatment strategies

Put your zangfu thinking cap on (temporarily!) and join us to refine your understanding of channel vs. zangfu knowledge and improve your BSA channel diagnosis skills.

Who should join? BSA students and practitioners interested in diving deeper into channel theory, holography and classical Chinese medicine.

PREREQUISITE: A minimum of BSA Levels 1 and 2 (Balance System Acupuncture (BSA) Foundations – Level 1: Single Systems + Level 2: Multiple System balancing) taken through Tan Academy of Balance (in person or webinars), or an equivalent course through another provider.
