Balance System Acupuncture Program (BSAP)
BSAP program includes all advanced levels of Balance System Acupuncture (3-9) and Grand Rounds classes of cases, adjunct topics, and guest lecturers including ShīfuTan herself! This 80+ hour program dives deep in exploring the advanced Balance Acupuncture strategies to effectively deliver more immediate, lasting results. With hands-on demos, case work, feedback mechanisms, adjunct topics and case studies incorporated into the learning. 

Eight Extraordinary Vessels & Complimentary Channels (8EVCC)
with Dr. Yvonne Farrell, DAOM, LAc
This 144-hour mentorship is designed to offer participants an understanding of how each aspect of the channel system can be used to help patients overcome psycho-emotional pain and suffering. Dive deep into the pathophysiology, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the Eight Extraordinary Vessels & Complementary Channels in this in-person only, unique learning experience. 

Certified Astrology Consultant (CAC) Mentorship
with Shīfu师父/師父Dr. Sonia F. Tan, DAOM, RAc, RTCMP
Understand constitutional energy and life balance at a whole new level. Make sense of the cycles of the Chinese solar, lunar calendar, constitutional energy, and how to live in harmony with it. Understand the Ba Zi / Four Pillars of Destiny style of analysis while developing deeper insight of the Gan Zhi and the Five Phases. GOOD TO KNOW: You can apply to the BSAP Certificate Mentorship program whether or not you have already written the BSA Foundations (Levels 1 and 2) equivalency test.

If you haven’t yet taken the equivalency test, you may receive “conditional acceptance” with full acceptance granted upon successful completion of the BSA Foundations equivalency test.

Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival- Back in 2027!

Looking ahead to 2027: The acu-tent will return to the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival!

Due to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Vancouver will see significant FIFA-mandated road closures and a wide security perimeter around BC Place throughout June and July. Because of these requirements and FIFA-imposed city-wide event restrictions, the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival will be taking a hiatus in 2026.

While a one-day Summer Regatta (sponsored by Concord Pacific) will be held on August 22, 2026, site limitations mean that we are unable to host an acupuncture tent there. Many racers have expressed their disappointment that we won’t be on site to help get them race ready, but we share their excitement for a full-scale return in 2027!

Keep an eye out for updates and a call for volunteers (open to BSA Level 9 Certified Practitioners only) in Spring 2027!
